Problem

Parking operators needed a unified system for space management, live occupancy, payments, and hardware such as POS and receipt printing.

Solution

A FastAPI service layer with OAuth2, Celery workers, Redis caching, and containerized deployment—paired with a Flutter client for field use.

Key features

  • Super Admin, Admin, Merchant, and App User roles
  • Parking space management
  • Live parking availability
  • Payment processing
  • POS machine integration
  • Real-time receipt printing
  • OAuth2 authentication
  • Celery background processing
  • Redis caching
  • Docker and Kubernetes deployment

Architecture

API-first FastAPI backend, async tasks via Celery, Redis for cache and broker, mobile client on Flutter, deployed with Docker/Kubernetes.

Challenges

  • Coordinating real-time availability with payment and hardware integrations.
  • Role-based access across admin, merchant, and consumer surfaces.

My contribution

  • Backend API design and implementation
  • Authentication and background job pipelines
  • Deployment and integration support for payments and POS

Results

Delivered a production-oriented parking stack with clear separation between API, workers, and mobile client.
